If your motorbike is accidentally damaged but is repairable we’ll arrange to have it fixed or we’ll pay you the cost of getting it repaired.
If it’s not worth repairing or if it’s stolen and not recovered, we’ll pay you either the amount you had insured your bike for or its market value up to the sum insured. This depends on the condition of the motorbike when the loss happened. If the motorbike was less than a year old and you bought it new, we’ll replace it with a new one.
You can get your motorbike repaired by any authorised repair service, but we guarantee the work if it’s done by one of our approved repairers.
You won’t have to pay the excess on a claim for damage caused by an uninsured driver if you can prove that it was the other driver’s fault, and give us the registration number of the other driver’s vehicle and their contact details. You’ll also need to help us recover your claim from the driver or the owner of the other driver’s vehicle.
We’ll pay the cost of replacing lost or stolen keys and if your claim is $300 or less you won’t have to pay an excess.
If either you or your partner is injured in a motorbike accident that's covered by this policy and you need to pay for treatment, you’re covered for up to $500 per year.
We’ll cover your legal liability if you damage someone else’s property or accidentally injure someone while you’re driving your motorbike or any other vehicle. Provided they’re approved in advance by us, we’ll also cover the costs of your legal defence.
This cover extends to anyone else driving your motorbike if you gave them permission to use it, they don’t have any other insurance and they meet the same terms of this policy as you.
If your motorbike isn’t driveable after an accident we’ll cover the cost of getting it to a repairer or safe place.

Accidental death and disablement
If you or your partner die as the result of an accident covered by this policy, where either of you was driving your motorcycle at the time, we’ll pay out $2,000. We’ll also pay $1,000 for permanent loss of use of a hand, foot or eye.
