Materials and equipment on the construction site

Covers equipment and building materials located at the construction site, including those supplied by the principal.

Construction and maintenance period

Our cover may extend to any maintenance period you may have contracted for your project once it’s completed.

Materials in transit

Your construction materials are covered while they're in transit by road, rail, airfreight, ferry or ship anywhere in New Zealand, as long as they're intended for part of the work you've undertaken.

Professional fees

We’ll cover the cost of architects, surveyors, engineers and others who are engaged to help you repair or replace your contract works.

Increased costs during construction

We cover increases in the cost of labour and materials following a claim increase

Reinstatement of insurance

If you have to make a claim, we'll automatically reinstate your cover, provided you pay the premium.

Removal of debris

We'll pay for demolition and debris removal if you have to clear a site so you can repair damage or rebuild a work in progress.

Temporary buildings

We offer cover up to $5,000 on temporary buildings, such as site offices and huts that are used to perform the contract works at the construction site.
